Menopause and Women’s Health Specialist Clinic in Cambridge

Hello !

My name is Dr Susanna Unsworth and I’m a Menopause and Women’s Health Specialist.

To give you some background, I trained as an undergraduate at Pembroke College in Cambridge. I completed my clinical medical qualification at the University of Cambridge, School of Clinical Medicine, graduating in 2005. As a junior doctor I worked in hospitals throughout the Eastern region, before commencing further training in General Practice. In 2010 I achieved Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and subsequently worked as a GP in practices in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. I now work as a Specialty Doctor in the Breast Clinic at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.

Women’s Health

10 years of Experience

I have dedicated time to developing my knowledge of women’s health, achieving diplomas from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG) and the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH). Furthermore, I have completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Gynaecology from the University of Bradford and the Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care from the FSRH, and am registered on the British Menopause Society Register of Menopause Specialists

Cambridge Women’s Health

During this time I have recognised that women often ‘put up’ with their health problems. This is particularly noticeable in relation to their periods or the menopause. They often only go to see their GP once things are really bad! Add to this our already overstretched NHS services, and women are left feeling their problems are not a priority.

I have started Cambridge Women’s Health to provide women with the time and attention they need to discuss their health concerns. The clinic offers support and experienced advice.
